Cloud Migration
Migrate to Cloud Hardware Infrastructure and Services
Technology enables businesses to be agile and nimble. The flexibility to quickly change product offerings, features within online products, provide E-Commerce and perform data analysis helps provide these businesses competitive advantage in the marketplace.
Companies providing cloud services such as hardware infrastructure, and integrated services to manage those servers, can help businesses be flexible by providing the appropriate amount of server power quickly and effectively, where and when they need it.
At Orange Development we specialize in cloud solutions using the three primary vendors: Amazon AWS, EC2, Google GCP and Microsoft Azure.
Our Experience Within the Cloud
We’ve been building applications and infrastructure in the cloud since 2008. At Orange Development we lean towards a vendor-agnostic approach, where your applications are securely delivered within the cloud and can readily be migrated to another cloud vendor.
Amazon AWS is still considered a leader in this space, and a preferred choice for many teams. But it’s easy to get caught up in “pay by the drop” models, where you’re paying for more than you bargained for.
Google GCP is a great choice, and has a modest lead over Amazon in terms of their storage pricing.
Azure is also a solid choice, and differentiates by providing better geographical co-location of servers worldwide
However, it’s important to note each of these providers is VERY strong in turn-key solutions (spin up a new server instance in seconds), and associated cloud services such as deploying applications to the cloud, setting up networks (virtual private clouds / subnets), and network and infrastructure management.
It’s a tight race in the cloud infrastructure space. If you have any questions regarding migrating to the cloud, data science or applications development within the cloud, please give the Orange Development team a call. We’re here to help.
